5 Month Update

Technically we're a little past the 5 month mark but i wanted to do an update on baby-specific stuff before i launch into a post about maternity clothes and shoes and shopping, it's gonna be a long one.

Our last sonogram went great, we got an adorable picture of Squiggs which were hoping would help us decide on a name already. We Skype-d with our Connecticut family members a few days ago and got some really helpful baby naming insight. For example our nephew, Zachary (5 years old), thinks that 'Squiggs' sounds too much like 'Squid' so it might work better as a middle name. For a first name he suggests Pineapple or Ella, both are solid choices.

Jamey is gonna help me get some good full length pictures to show you how the bump is really growing these days and show off some of the cute maternity outfits i've been working on. Until then i'll just leave this here:

22 Weeks (& 2 Days)

So I've been a little lazy keeping this up-to-date but there really hasn't been much to report since the 'big announcement'. We have been mulling over some girl names but we haven't really decided on anything, for now she goes by 'Baby Squiggs' because she has become super squiggly over the last couple of weeks.

We are scheduled for another ultrasound next week because shy girl didn't want her picture taken last time. Maybe this time she'll be more cooperative and let us see her face!

Baby Squiggs also hates tight waistbands with a passion, so it is officially maternity clothes time.

So here we are 20 weeks along.

Today we had our ultrasound appointment which included some insight as to Baby's gender, the details of when/where/how we will be announcing it will follow soon.

Oh and Baby must have known today was picture day because I felt little kicks all day.

Now here is the half-way-there bump:

Welcome to our baby update blog!

We decided this would be way better than blowing up everyone's FB feed with baby info that mostly just our family and close friends really care about (your welcome everyone else).

And now some preliminary info:

Baby Sutton is due June 22, 2014

We will be attempting to find out the gender at our ultrasound appointment February 3rd.
The announcement will come some time shortly thereafter.

We have already agreed on a boy's name we both like: Adrian William, which by the laws of baby logic means it will  probably be a girl.

That's about all we have figured out so far, we will try to keep updating here as new info becomes available.
